What you get

  • Measurement
  • Images and fonts
  • Scripts and styles
  • Server side
  • The largest image or text
  • Before and after

Sound familiar?

  • Google Search Console shows your pages failing Core Web Vitals.
  • The site feels slow on phones, especially product and category pages.
  • You installed a speed plugin and the score barely moved.
  • The admin is so slow that editing products takes forever.

What is included

  • Measurement Field data from Search Console where available, and lab tests on your key pages
  • Images and fonts Right-sized modern image formats, fewer and smaller fonts
  • Scripts and styles Unused code removed, the rest loaded only where it is needed
  • Server side Slow database queries, heavy plugins, caching and hosting checked
  • The largest image or text Loaded first, so pages appear quickly
  • Before and after The same measurements repeated after the work

Not included

  • Hosting fees if a hosting change is recommended (you choose and pay the host)
  • Guaranteed scores: we fix the causes and report the measurements honestly

What Core Web Vitals measure

Google’s Core Web Vitals look at three things real visitors experience: how quickly the main content appears (Largest Contentful Paint, good at 2.5 seconds or less), how quickly the page responds when someone taps or clicks (Interaction to Next Paint, good at 200 milliseconds or less), and how much the layout jumps while loading (Cumulative Layout Shift, good at 0.1 or less). They are measured on real visits, which is why a single lab test is only part of the story.

Why speed plugins often disappoint

Caching and minification help, but they cannot fix a heavy theme, a slow database query, a dozen fonts or a script loaded on every page. We fix those causes directly, and keep a caching layer as the finishing touch, not the whole plan.

This site is the example

The codiffy.com you are reading is built the way we describe here: self-hosted fonts, styles and scripts loaded only on the pages that use them, a server-rendered WordPress theme without a page builder, and no third-party scripts until they are needed.

How it works

  1. Measure

We record how the site performs today: field data where it exists, and repeatable lab tests on your key pages.

From you: Search Console access, if you have it.
  2. Find the causes

Theme, plugins, images, scripts, database and hosting are checked.

  3. Fix on staging

Changes are made and tested on a staging copy so nothing breaks.

From you: Approval of changes that affect design.
  4. Release and measure again

The same tests are repeated, and field data is checked as it updates.

  5. Keep it fast

Optional ongoing checks as the site grows.

What affects the price

Every project gets a fixed quote after a free call, so you know the total before anything starts. These are the things that move it.

  • Size of the site and number of plugins
  • Whether the theme needs rework
  • Number of products and database size
  • Hosting changes
  • One-off project or ongoing care

Where we have done this

100 %page speed score across the whole website
  • Online store
  • WooCommerce
  • Custom plugin

Custom apparel customers design right on the product page

Challenge
AllStar Logo's old product designer was slow to load and froze while customers were designing, which cost the store a lot of customers. The site ran on PHP 7.3, so it could not even be updated.
Result
A 100 % page speed score across the whole website, PHP 8.5 and fully up to date, and customers finish their designs without the designer getting stuck.
Uniparts
  • Online store
  • WooCommerce
  • Custom back end

An industrial parts catalogue with part-number search, quote requests and dealer prices

Challenge
Uniparts needed its older catalogue site rebuilt on WooCommerce. Customers had to find parts by part number, and dealers needed different prices from retail buyers.
Result
The new site went live on 1 July 2022 and the catalogue now holds more than 6,000 products that staff edit themselves. After speed work in September 2022 it scored GTmetrix A and Google PageSpeed 100 on desktop and 97 on mobile.
Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours and White Wolf Rafting
  • Service business
  • Website security
  • Malware removal

Malware removed and two sister tour company websites locked down

Challenge
In October 2023 visitors to the Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours website started seeing spam pop-ups and redirects. The site also ran an outdated PHP version, an outdated theme and several unused plugins, and it had not been updated since it was built.
Result
The infection was removed and the way in closed within about two weeks of the first report. By 6 November 2023 both sites were fully updated and on PHP 8.2.

Questions about performance optimization.

Can you guarantee a Lighthouse score of 100?

No. We fix what makes the site slow and show you the measurements before and after. Lab scores vary between runs, and what matters most to Google is how the site performs for real visitors.

Will speed work change how my site looks?

Not without your approval. Most of the work is invisible. If a heavy effect or slider is a major cause, we explain the trade-off and let you decide.

Do I need new hosting?

Sometimes, not always. We check the hosting and recommend a change only when it is a real bottleneck.

Does speed affect sales?

Slow pages lose visitors before they buy, especially on phones. We measure your key pages so you can see the change for your own site.
