What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry or request a call
The form asks for your name, email address and a message, and optionally your company, website and time zone. We use these details only to reply to your request and to discuss the work you asked about. Each enquiry is emailed to our team and also stored in our website’s administration area, so a request is not lost if an email fails to arrive. The form’s spam protection records a coded version of your internet address (not the address itself) for up to one hour to limit repeated submissions.
When you book a call
Calls are booked through Google Calendar’s appointment scheduling. The booking page opens on Google’s own site when you choose to see open times, and the details you enter there are handled by Google under Google’s privacy policy and shared with us so we can hold the call.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and whether an enquiry was sent. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data under Google’s privacy policy. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Videos
Video reviews are not loaded until you press play. When you do, the video is loaded from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode), Vimeo or our own server, and that provider may collect information under its own policy.
Your preferences
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It is not sent to us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the site and our business: our website host, our email provider, Google (for booking and analytics), and anyone we are legally required to share it with.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 24 months after our last contact with you, and longer if you become a client, for as long as we need them for the work and our legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@codiffy.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, for example under Canada’s PIPEDA or US state privacy laws.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, runs our own security monitoring, and access to stored enquiries is limited to our team.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
