The short version

Challenge
Amdrecor sold its face shields through a separate GoDaddy shopping cart. In spring 2020 it wanted a clean WordPress store live quickly, with subscriptions, coupons, Canadian orders and a portal for wholesale partners.
Approach
We built the WooCommerce store and shared the first version eight days after the go-ahead, connected Stripe and PayPal, set up table rate shipping, coupons and subscriptions, and later added a purchase order payment option and a wholesale plugin.
Result
The new store replaced the GoDaddy cart at the turn of June and July 2020, and business buyers can check out with a purchase order number.

About Amdrecor

Amdrecor, Inc. manufactures and sells face shields to single buyers and to bulk or wholesale customers, from Houston, Texas.

What Amdrecor needed

The old site sold through a separate GoDaddy shopping cart. In spring 2020 the company wanted a clean WordPress store for its face shields, live quickly, with subscriptions, coupons, Canadian orders and a portal for wholesale partners, while printed QR codes still pointed at old addresses.

What we did

  • A first build in eight days A WordPress and WooCommerce site on a temporary address, shared eight days after the go-ahead.
  • Review and wish list US dollar pricing, a Made in USA badge, an FAQ page and the client’s written wish list (April to May 2020).
  • Live on new hosting The site moved and went live with SSL at the turn of June and July 2020.
  • Payments and shipping Stripe and PayPal connected, table rate shipping based on the old cart, coupons and subscriptions.
  • Advice Redirects, so the printed QR codes keep leading to the right pages, and options for Canadian checkout and tax exempt customers.
  • Missed enquiries recovered Contact form routing fixed and the enquiries missed since launch recovered, among them a bulk request for about 400 face shields (6 August 2020).
  • Purchase orders and wholesale A staging copy, WordPress, WooCommerce and all plugins updated, a purchase order payment option installed and tested, and a wholesale plugin installed for the client to configure (November 2020).

The result

The new store went live at the turn of June and July 2020, three and a half months after the go-ahead, and replaced the GoDaddy cart. Business buyers can check out with a purchase order number, which places the order on hold for the office.

Technology

An industrial parts catalogue with part-number search, quote requests and dealer prices

Challenge
Uniparts needed its older catalogue site rebuilt on WooCommerce. Customers had to find parts by part number, and dealers needed different prices from retail buyers.
Result
The new site went live on 1 July 2022 and the catalogue now holds more than 6,000 products that staff edit themselves. After speed work in September 2022 it scored GTmetrix A and Google PageSpeed 100 on desktop and 97 on mobile.

Two ASP.NET gift sites merged into one wholesale WooCommerce store

Challenge
Born ran two separate, dated ASP.NET sites, one for aviation gifts and one for rail gifts. They looked outdated, most of all on phones, and the full product list sat behind one shared login. Born sells only to retailers, so prices had to stay hidden from the public.
Result
The new store went live on 28 February 2023, the date the client had asked for, on a new domain. Two sites and two catalogs became one store, and the client manages products and prices himself.
